It’s that time of the month again.. Spring has always been my favorite season! With longer days and warmer weather, nothing makes me happier than sprucing up my apartment with a little spring cleaning.
If you know me, I always love finding reasons to revamp my space.
Here are some things that you can do to prepare for spring and make the most out of this season:
Find ways to repurpose your things
Want a fresh new look? Try repurposing your things and give them a new perspective. For instance, you can hang your accent rugs or bring out your old photos and frame them. You’ll be surprised how you can turn boring things to interesting pieces! All it takes is to use your creative juices.
Switch up those boring drapes
Sure, those heavy, dull, and dark drapes can filter unwanted light, but they can also drag down your room’s mood. Not only that, they can also collect odor and dust! Yikes! So why don’t you switch those drapes up with light, airy curtains.Don’t be afraid to let some light in! If you’re feeling a little extra, try some patterns to make it a bit more contemporary.
Keep things fresh!
If you haven’t tried decorating with floral arrangements, you’re missing out! Flowers are a great way to add vibrancy and color to any room. Choose different arrangements and don’t just settle on one selection.
Aside from flowers, you can also use fruit baskets as accent pieces to your kitchen and dining table. I love to use colorful fruits like lemons and oranges to make it bright and vibrant!
Update your accent walls
Spring is the best time to revamp your accent walls. You can either grab your brush and start repainting or just use a wallpaper with an eye catching design. There are a lot of interesting wallpaper designs that you can try! Choose one that matches your theme.
If, on the other hand, you want to keep it modern and classy, you’ll never go wrong with neutral colored walls.
Give a new look to your furniture pieces
Spring is also a great time to repaint your furniture pieces. Why buy new furniture when you can just give them a makeover?
Replace those saggy pillows
Don’t let your mood down with those tired and saggy pillows. Grab new ones! Afterall, they’re meant to be replaced every 6 months or so. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to choose bright and fun pillow covers!
